Registration certificates

General information

The authority certifies for the resident with which data he is registered in the register of residents: surname, first name(s), date and place of birth, residential address.
Registration certificates are requested e. g. from the driver´s licence authority, if the applicant identifies himself with a passport (because the residential address is not indicated in the passport).


Registration certificates are generally only valid on the day on which they were issued.

The resident has to be registered in the register of residents, i.e. live in the jurisdiction of the registration Office.
